Additional image examples
Tutorial 1 ] Pattern frame border 1) Use the select tool / marquee 2) Create selected region in the center of a document 3) Layer > New fill layer > pattern. The selection defines the range for the pattern even for the new layer 4) Select a pattern, either one of the patterns in the current palette or use the right menu to load / replace new patterns. Select one of the embellish patterns. This will fill the current selection and create a new layer 5) Re-select via the selection menu 6) Select > Inverse to select the frame region 7) Layer > new fill layer > pattern 8) Select a new pattern or select the same pattern (and shift or re-scale the pattern so you can see some change) 9) Click OK and flatten You can always do without the first fill as you may wish to retain part of the original image; use the second fill to create the frame region. You can also change the opacity or blending mode of the first fill to allow more or less of the underlying image to be seen. |
