TTF format / vectors
The embellish font set includes the designs in a TTF font as well as in EPS format. The embellishment designs are all vector format so they can be used with any size of document, so can be used to create designs much larger than the thumbnail images shown on this page
Easy to use and install via control panel / font book
The TTF true type font file is easy to use and install, you can use the font on both the PC and MAC OS X. The font is in exactly the same format as standard fonts such as Times New Roman / Verdana / Georgia / Arial etc. The font is installed via the control panel on the PC (the installation approach varies slightly from OS to OS, but in most cases, simply drag the TTF file into the font panel. On the Mac, you can install by clicking on the design or using the font book application found in the applications folder of the Mac. Once installed, all the designs are then accessible via the typeface dropdown menu of most applications. Select the font, and then type A B C D etc to create the character design.
Accessing characters
The set comes with a thumbnail gallery showing the character relationship to the design, also you can use various applications on the web such as charmap to scan through all the designs in the font.
Modify the designs
The actual font character designs can be modified in many applications, you can also find free tools on the web to modify fonts and the designs included with them. The font designs can be modified in Illustrator and Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro etc
Embellishment floral preset shapes for PSP
The fonts can be used as Paint Shop Pro preset shapes, so the embellishment designs can be quickly converted to a pspshape format file and then used via the shape tool.
Other uses
The font designs can be re-colored, effects applied, flattened and used as part of an image and much more. The embellish designs can be combined to create millions of different designs for many different projects. The embellishment designs also can be used as a source for other presets such as brushes (simply use the edit > define brush on the flattened font design) or as a pattern or as custom shape in Photoshop.
EPS format as well as TTF font
The font set also includes all the designs in EPS format, allowing even greater flexibility in the design process. The eps designs are also vector format files and can be imported or opened in many different applications such as Photoshop, Apple Pages and others. Once loaded, they can be used as vector designs in some applications but in some the embellishment designs will just become a raster layer which can be combined with the other design elements
Re-color
The font designs are re-colored in many applications via the foreground color (or background color in some) or via a materials palette or other control panel: they can be other colors other than the displayed black!
