Tutorials Tutorial 1 ]Color gradient overlay
1) Set the color via the toolbox for the foreground and background, set to RED and BLUE 2) Apply gradientcombo 8 plug-in using default settings 3) Change the factor values to RED 100 GREEN 35 BLUE 48, this will apply a factor to the gradient color channels in turn. The RED channel will be unchanged, the GREEN and BLUE channels for the gradient will be reduced across all the pixels in the gradient. 4) Set the output mode to OVERLAY. The overlay displays the gradient 50% and the original image 50%. There are also many other color output settings, some offer more subtle or more extreme overlays as well as mixing additional effects such as a frame or edge 5) Final result, a colorful image overlayed with the gradient effect The gradient plug-in will display nothing if the FG and BG are set to white-white (or any single color). The plug-in comes with many variant gradient effects and can be further modified by changing the apply factors, color settings and center.
Tutorial 2 ]Color noise red effect
1) Original image 2) Default settings for the color grain plug-in. The color grain applies a light grain across the image 3) Set the color cutoff to 157. The color cutoff setting allows more or less of the image through. The higher the value, the darker the image. 4) The color sliders at the bottom of the dialog are post effect additions to the color of each pixel. Move the red slider to the right to redden the noise effect 5) Final result: red grained image effect |
